In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Since its creation following a royal will in 1964, Dar El Hadith El Hassania Institution has continued to provide a great service in the study of religious sciences. As an institution of higher education and scientific research, “it is entrusted with the task of training scholars and researchers in the field of specialized and in-depth higher Islamic studies,” according to the 2005 royal decree which instructed its reorganization.

Since then, the institution has continued to play its role through two overlapping circles:

  • First, there is the study and training circle where the students receive a deep and complete training in three fields, namely the religious sciences with all their branches, social and human sciences and foreign languages. This is in all the three cycles i.e. the fundamental specialized cycle, the higher in-depth study cycle (the master’s program) and the doctoral program, along with paralleled trainings and workshops.
  • The second circle is that of scientific research as the institution is keen not to separate training, study and research, which is clearly evident in the higher deep cycles as the student advances from the stage of receiving and training to the stage of scientific production and academic research.

To accomplish these ambitious missions, dozens of professionals, including directors, teachers, recognized scholars and experienced researchers, have contributed to the development of this prestigious institution. They have trained hundreds of students and researchers who have benefited people inside and outside the country, and have also become a demand for many scientific centers and national and international universities.

We are still striving today to complement this mission and continue in the same way as the predecessors, by tracing their footsteps and following their approach. In addition, a number of initiatives have been proposed, such as the hosting of several scientific chairs, the first of which is dedicated to the Chair of Fundamentals of Religion and the Prophetic Hadith. This is to revive the Sunnah of Moroccans in their care for these two noble origins. These initiatives also include developing the structure of scientific research and working to create research laboratories that respect quality standards and research traditions, taking into account the requirement of integration between them. There are other initiatives related to developing the digitization of the library and reviewing study and training curricula, in accordance with the institution’s objectives and its continuous pursuit of leadership and excellence.
